Binding sound, internally clean and unmarked. Written by William Makepeace Thackaray under the pseudonym Mr. M.A. Titmarsh. A "Fireside Pantomine" somewhat satirical story about the family drama and romance among the royalty in the fictional kingdoms of Paflagonia and Crim Tartary. Illustrated with woodcuts throughout (artist unattributed) in a pre-Raphaelite style slightly reminiscent of John Tenniel's artwork in "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland". #1967 Price:
