Binding sound, light foxing to endpapers, a few scatterd notations and underlines in French. Text is in the French language. A novel centering around a village miser, Felix Eugenie, his obsession with gain at all costs, and the effect of his miserliness on his wife, his daughter Eugenie, his family and fellow villagers.
